After setting the Arkansas high school record for rushing yards and TDs in a season, Kenneth Dixon committed to Louisiana Tech over Arkansas, LSU and Ole Miss. He hit the ground running, gaining nearly 1,200 yards, scoring an NCAA freshman record 27 TDs and earning all-conference and freshman All-America honors in 2012.
Dixon played in only 10 games in his sophomore season, but his production was consistent. In fact, consistency was a notable quality for Dixon, who averaged about 6 yards per touch each year in college. He also led his conference in rushing TDs and total TDs each year he was healthy.

Running backs that can power between the tackles at 220 pounds and make toe-tapping touchdown catches in the endzone don't come around often. Dixon can be a bruising back, but he's at his best in space. He has the traits to be a three-down back in the NFL if he can stay healthy and reduce fumbles.
The Cowboys' signing of Alfred Morris signals a return to the stretch zone running game that was so successful in 2014. Dixon's combination of patience, decisiveness and quickness make him a great fit in such a scheme. He's worth a Day 2 pick to the Cowboys and would be a great value if he's available in the top of the third round.
