Justin Simmons has been versatile ever since he was a wide receiver, defensive back and basketball player as a Florida high school student. That carried over to the Boston College defense where he played in just about every spot of the secondary during his four years. He settled into the role of free safety for the Eagles, intercepting 5 passes as the full-time starter there as a senior.

Simmons put together a nice college career, but he really began to impress after the season. He was a standout at the East-West Shrine Game, earning consistent praise from coaches. Then he continued his ascent at the Combine where he showed off insane times in the 3-Cone Drill and short shuttle (3.85) for a man his size.

Verdict: Fourth-Round Pick

Simmons has the size, length and physical demeanor to be a press corner in certain schemes right away. The potential to play pretty much any position in the secondary is what makes him an intriguing sleeper, though. His tape doesn't match up with his Combine workout, which is a concern, but I'll bet on that athleticism and NFL coaching.

The Cowboys need help in a few areas in the secondary, and Simmons is an interesting prospect for them. If Dallas misses out on defensive backs in the first two rounds, Simmons would give them a potential fit at multiple needs. He could help out right away in some packages and still have the upside to start somewhere long term.
