Rua Putting Together Hot Spring So Far

It seems like ages ago that Ryan Rua was the Texas Rangers' Opening Day left fielder, but it was only last season.

Just a few games into the season, his potential breakout year hit a major snap when he was injured in the infamous Astros game that also claimed Derek Holland to the disabled list and saw Shin-Soo Choo leave the game early, as well.

So far this spring, Rua is doing his best to get back into the forefront of the Rangers' brass mind in terms of Opening Day rosters, and he also has his versatility (he originally came into the pros as an infielder) on his side.

Rua went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs in Monday's comeback victory over the Giants, and the day before htat he was 4-for-4 in a B game — not a bad two-day stretch for the right-handed hitter.

"Right now, everything feels good," Rua told the Dallas Morning News. "It's trusting the process and what you go through every day.''
