Romo, Witten Get a Day Off

Tony Romo and Jason Witten were held out of Wednesday's afternoon session

On Wednesday, for the second time in the first week of training camp, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo got the day off. Joined by Jason Witten on the sideline for the afternoon practice session, there is still no specific practice plan in place for Romo, who has only practiced on consecutive days once since camp started and was limited in practice all last season.

I don’t think he’s totally determined that yet, exactly what he’s going to do,” Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said, per the Dallas Morning News. “The coaches work with him in a good way and the trainers do. I think he’s going to figure out a good program for him. I wouldn’t say anything is set in stone yet.”

It was Witten’s first day off in camp and, if you haven't heard, he's not a fan of days off.

“They told me this morning they wanted me to take the day off, so that’s what I did,” Witten said. “It’s tough. I never like to watch.”
