Romo Wins “Greatness on the Road” Award

Tony Romo earned the honor for his comeback performance against the Giants in Week 12

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was named the recipient of the “Greatness on the Road” Award presented by Courtyard over the weekend at the 4th annual NFL Honors show, for his performance in the team’s 31-28 comeback victory over the New York Giants in Week 12 at MetLife Stadium.

The Cowboys went into half that night down 21-10, but Romo threw three touchdown passes in the second half to lead Dallas to the 31-28 win. Romo finished 18 of 26 passing for 275 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Success on the road was hardly rare for Romo in 2014. He completed a little over 70 percent of his passes away from AT&T Stadium, and threw 20 touchdowns to just two interceptions. The Cowboys finished the regular season with a perfect 8-0 record on the road.
