Romo Wins Golf Tourney In Green Bay

Before returning to Dallas for OTAs, Tony Romo spent the weekend playing in a golf tournament in Green Bay

Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo has pulled the reins on his offseason golfing this year, but that doesn’t mean he’s staying away from the links altogether. Romo, who said earlier this offseason that he wouldn’t attempt to qualify for either the Byron Nelson or the US Open--two tourneys he’s made a run at in the past--won the Badgerland Invitational in Green Bay over the weekend.

Romo won the tournament, a two-day amateur event held at the Oneida Golf and Country Club, by shooting a first round 69 and a second round 72 to finish five strokes ahead of the second place finisher. Afterward, Romo headed back to Dallas for OTAs, which begin today at Valley Ranch.

Ramiro Romo, Tony’s father, finished sixth in the senior division of the tournament.
