Romo to Work With Scout Team This Week

Tony Romo returned to practice last week for the first time since suffering a broken collarbone in Week 2, throwing individually at first and participating in seven-on-seven and 11-on-11 drills with the Scout Team by the end of the week.

This week will be more of the same for the Dallas Cowboys’ Pro Bowl quarterback, according to head coach Jason Garrett.

“He had a good practice,” Garrett said of Romo’s work last Friday, his first taste of full team drills since suffering a fractured clavicle on September 20, per ESPN Dallas. “He did a lot of scout-team stuff and that gave him the chance to work seven-on-seven and 11-on-11 for the first time in a little while.”

This is the second week that, under NFL rules regarding the injured reserve/designated to return list, Romo has been eligible to practice. He can’t play until the November 22 matchup with the Dolphins.

As you’ve probably heard, the Cowboys’ have failed to win a game in six tries with Romo on the sidelines.
