Rolando McClain Starts Week in Concussion Protocol

McClain took an inadvertent kick to the helmet late in the loss to the Packers

Middle linebacker Rolando McClain tied for the team lead with 11 tackles against the Packers, but he’ll spend this week in the concussion protocol after absorbing an inadvertent kick to the helmet from a teammate late in the 28-7 loss.

"I still got a few symptoms," McClain said afterward, per the Dallas Morning News.

McClain was hurt in the fourth quarter as safety Jeff Heath attempted to make a diving tackle and his foot struck McClain’s head, sending the linebacker to the sideline.

From there, McClain said he passed the concussion test, before returning to the game just in time for James Starks’ 30-yard touchdown run.

On the year, McClain has 63 tackles, a sack and an interception.
