Rick Carlisle a Big Fan of Jason Garrett

Garrett is in his fourth full season as the Dallas Cowboys head coach

Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle is a big fan of Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett.

Garrett, in his fourth full season at the helm for the Cowboys, just clinched his first ever winning season last Thursday with a win over the Chicago Bears. With that win, the Cowboys are 9-4 and on a collision course with the Philadelphia Eagles next week.

Jason Garrett is one of the best coaches I’ve ever seen,” Carlisle said on 103.3-FM, ESPN Radio this week. “He continues to impress me year in, year out, game in, game out. I’ll remind everybody again how they were positioning--not him, but other people in that organization--were positioning their season as, ‘Eh, you know, this may be a bit of a rebuilder.’ And this guy’s done the best coaching job I’ve ever seen.”

If the Cowboys can go on a run and get in the playoffs, it would be their first postseason appearance since 2009.

“He’s done a phenomenal job just all-around, you name it,” Carlisle said of Garrett. “That team was supposed to be rebuilding and everything else. Their defense was supposed to be the worst. It’s just a really tremendous job.”
