Could a Dez Bryant Deal Be “Imminent?”

A report has the Cowboys and Bryant getting close to a long-term agreement

As of Tuesday, the Dallas Cowboys have 15 days to get Dez Bryant a long-term deal.

If a recent report is correct, they might be getting close. Shan Shariff of 105.3-FM The Fan tweeted on Tuesday night that he was beginning to hear some “whispers” involving a potential deal from Valley Ranch.

Starting to hear multiple whispers about imminent long-term deal for Dez. The numbers 100 and 45 tossed around but still working to confirm,” he wrote, via BloggingTheBoys.

This comes just a few days after the report from ESPN Dallas’s Todd Archer that Bryant’s agent, Tom Condon, had been in town and in contact with the Cowboys.

That's a big deal, because before this past weekend, the two sides hadn’t been in contact for several months.

As for the numbers, we’d assume that means the deal that’s currently being kicked around is worth a total of $100 million, with $45 million in guaranteed money.
