It appears the Dallas Cowboys will soon have a new home for the first time in 28 years.
According to a report in the Dallas Morning News, team officials are on the verge of finalizing plans to relocate team headquarters from Valley Ranch to Frisco.
"I have noticed a 'little' interest out there. Unfortunately, the city of Frisco cannot confirm or deny any potential economic development projects," said Frisco Mayor Mayer Maso.
There are reportedly still plenty of details to be ironed out and an announcement isn’t expected any time soon, but those close to the talks say it’s a matter of when and not if the move will happen.
Dallas also reportedly looked at Irving and Arlington as potential sites for their headquarters and practice facilities.
"We have discussed various incentives with the Cowboys in general terms, but nothing specific," said Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne.
According to the Morning News, the move will be made sometime before the 2016 season.
NBC 5's Catherine Ross contributed to this report.
