Report: Cowboys Sign LB Jasper Brinkley

Brinkley spent last season with the Minnesota Vikings

The Dallas Cowboys have found some linebacker help in veteran Jasper Brinkley, signing him to a two-year deal on Thursday.

Brinkley spent last season with the Minnesota Vikings, and had 74 tackles and a sack. It was something of a homecoming for Brinkley, who was drafted by the Vikes in the 5th round of the 2011 draft and spent two seasons there before going to the Cardinals for a year, in 2013.

According to Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas, the deal won’t become official until Brinkley passes a physical.

The Cowboys have already lost linebackers Justin Durant and Bruce Carter this offseason.
