Report: Alshon Jeffrey Will Play Against Cowboys

Jeffrey has been officially listed as questionable with a hamstring issue

Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey is officially listed as questionable for Thursday night’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys with a hamstring issue but he will play, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

The report comes after Jeffrey was held out of practice on Tuesday and was limited in Wednesday’s session.

Obviously, this is good news for the Bears. Not so much for a Dallas defense that’s coming off a rough Thanksgiving Day showing in the 33-10 loss to the Eagles. In that game, the unit gave up 464 yards of offense to the rival Eagles.

In last year’s matchup between the Cowboys and the Bears, a 45-28 Chicago win, Jeffrey went for 84 yards and a touchdown on five catches. Jeffrey’s teammate Brandon Marshall had big day opposite Jeffrey, with 100 yards on six catches.
