RBs McFadden, Williams Dealing with Minor Injuries

Darren McFadden and Ryan Williams are sitting out of team drills in OTAs this week

The Dallas Cowboys are down a pair of running backs in team drills this week, as Darren McFadden and Ryan Williams deal with minor injuries--McFadden a strained hamstring and Williams a swollen knee.

It’s definitely frustrating,” McFadden said, per Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News. “You want to always be out there taking plays, getting reps. But it’s one of those things I’d rather sit out now instead of pushing it and have something lingering.”

In the absence of McFadden and Williams, the Cowboys are getting a good look at the newest running back on the roster, former Baylor standout and sixth round pick of the Redskins in 2014, Lache Seastrunk.

Seastrunk, who said the opportunity in Dallas “means everything to me,” signed on Monday.

“I just thank them. If they told me to jump off a cliff tomorrow to take care of my family, I think I would do it,” Seastrunk said. “I’m just happy for the opportunity. I don’t care if it’s holding or kicking, I’ll do whatever it takes. I just want to really stick somewhere and call it home for awhile.”
