The Texas Rangers have hired Jackie Moore to be bench coach.
Dave Anderson will take over as Rangers third base coach, plus will be responsible for the infield defense.
Moore also will be the catching instructor.
Moore spent last season as bench coach for the Houston Astros. He managed the Round Rock Express from 2000-2007.
Anderson moves up after two seasons in the Texas farm system, including manager of the Frisco Roughriders during 2007.
Texas in late September announced bench coach Art Howe and third base coach Matt Walbeck wouldn't be returning.
The Rangers this year finished in second in the AL West, 21 games behind the Los Angeles Angels.
