When another round of All-Star Game fan voting results were released on Monday, the Texas Rangers got some good news, as well as some bad news.
Good news: Outfielder Alex Rios has moved up the list of outfielders to No. 12, one behind his teammate Shin-Soo Choo — the two of whom have been the Rangers' best offensive players this year. Bad news, that's still far off the pace of being an all-star starter, which currently belongs to Mike Trout and two Toronto Blue Jays, Jose Bautista and Melky Cabrera.
It's looking more and more likely that there won't be a Rangers position player starting in the July game at Target Field, which would mark the second straight year that's happened. Third baseman Adrian Beltre, who spent two weeks on the DL in April and has started slowly, is sitting a distant third in the AL third baseman balloting behind Josh Donaldson and Evan Longoria.
