Rangers Sorely Missing Beltre

Look, we all still love Joey Gallo. He's electrifying and can change a game with one swing of his Paul Bunyan bat. He seems to have a great attitude and appears destined to be a star for the Rangers for a long, long time.

But enough, already.

Adrian Beltre is sorely missed right now, and it's not so much for his bat. Yeah, it'd be great to have him back in the cleanup spot, most notably because he swings the bat from the right side and could break up the Rangers' abundance of lefties without having to hit Elvis Andrus third or fifth in the lineup, which is just disgusting to see.

Beltre's glove has long been appreciated, but at no time more than now.

Gallo made two more throwing errors on Wednesday night, one of which was a key moment in the game that probably cost the Rangers from securing their seventh straight series win, and he just doesn't have the range of the Gold Glove-caliber Beltre on the hot corner.

On Tuesday, Beltre expressed concern over the slow healing process of his thumb contusion and sprain. Luckily, the Rangers don't share the concern, knowing it's just Beltre's insane fire to get out on the field and compete more than a medical setback. That should help us all sleep a little better at night.

So yeah, Adrian, don't rush it back, but please get back soon. Thanks.
