Rangers Reportedly Out on Beachy

The Texas Rangers have made it known they're still looking to add a piece to their starting rotation before the 2015 season begins, even if it's just added depth more than a star.

Brandon Beachy would do that, and possibly even add a star.

The 28-year-old former Atlanta Brave was not tendered a deal in arbitration and became a free agent after undergoing a second Tommy John operation last season, but when he was healthy he was one of the hot, young up and coming starting pitchers in baseball.

Though the Rangers initially checked in on Beachy, who is expected to make a decision next week, a source told The Dallas Morning News that the Rangers are now out on the idea of bringing him aboard.

Back in 2011, Beachy went 7-3 with a 3.68 ERA and then in 2012 was really off to a hot start when he posted a 2.00 ERA through 81 innings before being shut down for elbow surgery.
