Rangers Ready for a Rare Day Off

20 games in 20 days, the Rangers are ready for a short break

It's time for a break, and a well-deserved one.  But maybe, the Rangers don't want it.

Texas has an off day on Thursday after catching fire, winning 20-of-the-last 25 games. That run also included a 7-game winning streak.

The off day concludes a stretch where the Rangers played 20-days-in-a-row and will play 17-straight coming out of the break.  After Thursday, the next day off is the All-Star Break, which gives you an idea of how fast the season is moving.

How excited are the Rangers about the one-day break? Very.

"Ugh, it's going to be amazing," said reliever Jake Diekamn. "And then we have like 17 after this off day. So one day off in like 40 days. Yeah, tomorrow I'm not going to do anything."

"I think the break will be nice," said Mitch Moreland. "We've had a pretty good run over this stretch, and we've fed off each other and Banny's done a nice job giving everyone some breaks here and there. But the off-day will be well deserved."

"We all are [looking forward to a break]. It's been grueling, but it's what we do," said Jeff Banister. "They've had great energy, even last night they were still giving everything that they've had. Knowing they have a day off tomorrow to recharge, spend about 24 hours, I'm sure a lot of them will take a nap for awhile."
