Rangers Not Worried About Trade Talks, Just Wins

The first place Texas Rangers have been struggling over the last couple of weeks.  The Rangers have dropped six of their last seven series and their once 10 game lead in the American League West has been reduced to 2.5 games.

Injuries have played a big part in ther decline, slugger Prince Fielder will have neck surgery Friday and is done for the season and Shin-Soo Choo has missed time as well.  Pitching seems to be the Rangers biggest concern with lefty Derek Holland and Colby Lewis currently on the disabled list.

The Rangers made a move Wednesday by acquiring pitchers Dario Alvarez and Lucas Hall from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for prospect Travis Demeritte.  Texas has been mentioned as a possible spot for Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale and Kansas City Royal thrower Edison Volquez.

With the August 1 trade deadline fast approaching, Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus explains why he and the rest of his teammates aren't really worried about possible moves that the Rangers organization may make.
