Rangers Minor Leaguers Awarded

The great, dedicated folks over at MiLB.com announced their organizational awards, which essentially amounts an all-star team, of sorts, for each team made up of their best prospects. The Rangers' team was stacked with several big-named prospects, and a couple of guys who made it to the big club in 2014.

Check it out:

Jorge Alfaro, C; Preston Beck, 1B; Seth Spivey, 2B; Hanser Alberto, SS; Joey Gallo, 3B; Nomar Mazara, OF; Nick Williams, OF; Jared Hoying, OF; Ryan Rua, UTIL; RHP Chi-Chi Gonzalez; LHP Andrew Faulkner; Relief pitcher Phil Klein.

BOLD denotes players who saw time in Arlington

The biggest names here are obviously Gallo and Alfaro, but perhaps the most under-the-radar exciting name is that of Mazara, the towering young outfielder who showed great power and won't be 20 years old until the 2015 season starts. He'll be on the fast track once that happens.
