Rangers Getting Creative with Bobbleheads

The Rangers have become pretty famous for their fun giveaways and concession items, among other things.

Over recent years, they've had a handful of bobblehead giveaways per season — you know, the fun figurines in players' likenesses with the huge head that bobbles up and down. There was the Yu Darvish one a few years back that had a built-in strikeout counter to keep track of Darvish's career Ks.

The Rangers announced their bobblehead giveaways for the 2016 season at this past weekend's Fan Fest, and the lineup of dolls seems to be pretty awesome.

It begins and ends with the Adrian Beltre giveaway as his bobblehead will have a removable helmet so you can rub his head. If you don't know, Beltre hates to have his head touched, much less rubbed.

There will also be a Cole Hamels bobblehead, a Star Wars-themed Elvis Andrus one and another awesome one, a Jeff Banister one modeled after the on-field scrap with Astros skipper A.J. Hinch back on July 18 in which Banister pointed his finger right in Hinch's face. The bobblehead will have the outstretched pointer finger in the same powder-blue throwback uniform the team wore that day.
