Rangers Fantasy Outlook: Center Field

With the 2015 season on the horizon, it's time to start talking fantasy baseball drafts and where, if at all, you should target Rangers.

Center field: Leonys Martin

2014 stats: .274 batting average, .325 on-base percentage, .689 OPS, 13 doubles, 7 triples, 7 home runs, 40 RBIs, 31-for-43 stolen bases, 114 strikeouts, 39 walks, 155 games

Martin has a wonderful chance this season to become the Rangers' center fielder for the foreseeable future with virtually no competition and a new manager who wants to trust him to be the team's leadoff hitter, something Ron Washington would rarely do.

He has to improve his plate discipline, but the weapons and skill set for Martin are undeniable. He can hit for average, he has pop and he has a lot of speed and is becoming a better base runner with two straight seasons of more than 30 stolen bases. Those type of players can be gold in fantasy baseball, and while Martin is far from a slam dunk to live up to his tools, it'd be a really nice steal for someone if he does. He should have every incentive to have a big year as it's likely a make or break year for the young Cuban.

Feel safe to target Martin in the later rounds of your draft, and if he hits it big this year, you'll be a genius.
