Rangers Avoiding Two Key Mariners

When the Mariners come to town on Friday to begin a weekend series with first place in the AL West on the line, the Rangers will be avoiding two key figures in the Mariners' dugout.

When they meet for three more games next week in Seattle, the same will likely hold true.

One thing is for sure: The Rangers will avoid seeing Mariners ace Felix Hernandez after he was put on the disabled list this week with a calf strain. While it's not believed to be serious, he'll be out until after next weekend, when the teams face off in Seattle.

Former Ranger Leonys Martin, on the other hand, will be eligible to return for that series in the Pacific Northwest but as for this weekend in Arlington, he'll be out of action.

Martin has had a breakout season so far as he's hitting .262 with a career-high (already) nine home runs and 20 RBIs to go with his eight stolen bases.
