Rangers Announce Alumni Weekend Details

Go back to 1994 in your mind real quick. Bill Clinton was in the White House, the Cowboys were still good, and the Rangers had just opened a bright, shiny new ballpark after years of playing in the old Arlington Stadium.

Coming up soon, the Rangers will remember that time by celebrating their alumni weekend when the Kansas City Royals come to town Aug. 22-24.

If you want to go to a game on the cheap, you can head out to newly named Globe Life Park on Sunday the 24th for a 2:05 p.m. first pitch. You'll likely be suffering through some late-August heat, but it might be worth it.

The Rangers will turn back the clock to 1994 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the park by offering upper reserved seats for $9 and Lexus Club seats for $18. There will also be cheap concessions — $3.50 nachos, $2.75 jumbo hot dogs, $2.75 jumbo sodas, and adults age 21 and up will get one voucher for a 16 oz. domestic draft for the 1994 price of $3.50.

So, it's no 10-cent beer night, but it's still pretty good. Make your plans now, folks.
