Randy Gregory Getting Used to Texas Heat

Gregory was forced to leave an afternoon practice last Friday with dehydration issues

It’s starting to heat up in North Texas, and that heat provides a real obstacle for Dallas Cowboys rookies.

Second round pick Randy Gregory learned that firsthand on Friday when he was one of a few players forced to leave the second practice of the day at Valley Ranch with dehydration issues. According to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, the heat index that day was 88--hardly the hottest it'll get around here.

Gregory returned on Saturday with plans to “hydrate a little better and eat a little better,” and get used to the heat and humidity.

“I’m trying to get used to it,” Gregory said. “I had a rough day yesterday. I knew I was going to cramp up eventually at some point. My body just gave out. But I think I followed it up pretty good with the morning practice today, and hopefully have the same thing in the afternoon practice.”
