Cowboys running back Joseph Randle missed the team portion of Tuesday’s practice with a mild oblique strain, but he was back on the practice field on Wednesday.

I feel great,” Randle said, per the Dallas Morning News. “My back just locked up on me, but I’ll be alright. That’s been happening since middle school. I know how to handle it. I know how to handle my body. I’ll be back, ready to go.”

All of the top three running backs on the roster have dealt with injuries this offseason. Darren McFadden entered camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list with a hamstring issue, and Lance Dunbar suffered a sprained ankle last week, meaning we’ll probably see a lot of Lache Seastrunk and undrafted Stephen F. Austin product Gus Johnson in the preseason opener in San Diego on Thursday.

Randle is unsure if he’ll see any action against the Chargers.

“I would love to play but that’s not up to me,” Randle said. “That’s the coaching staff’s job to do that kind of stuff, so we’ll let them do their job.”
