Former MLB player and Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket producer and talk show host Mike Bacsik has been let go after taking to his Twitter account to express his feelings after the Dallas Mavericks lost to the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night.
After the Mavs loss Sunday night, Bacsik, apparently frustrated, tweeted "Congrats to all the dirty mexicans in San Antonio."
The "dirty mexicans" tweet wasn't Bacsik's only missive Sunday night. Bacsik also tweeted about NBA Commissioner David Stern and Mavs player Eduardo Najera in quick, 140-character bursts. (See a screen grab here.)

On Monday, KTCK and Cumulus Media suspended Bacsik for an undisclosed amount of time. The Ticket told NBCDFW that Bacsik was called to the station on Tuesday and told he was fired.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Bacsik said he was fired after the story aired nationally on CNN. He also said he was disappointed, but understood why he was fired. He just wished he had a few minutes of airtime to express just how sorry he is.
He also told the DMN he was drunk at a bar on Sunday night and after watching the game began sending the tweets.
"When you tweet like that, it's not a playful, harmless thing," Bacsik told ESPN Dallas. "I learned my lesson. I'm owning up to what I did. I did a horrible thing. I'm very sorry and will try my best for my actions to speak louder than my tweets."
