Luis Sardinas just turned 21 years old a couple of weeks ago. Rougned Odor just turned 20 years old a couple of months ago.
Neither were supposed to be in the big leagues this year with Jurickson Profar taking a stranglehold on the second base job Ian Kinsler left behind when he was shipped off to Detroit for Prince Fielder. Now, like Fielder, Profar is very well out for the season and the Rangers have gone the way of the youth movement by promoting by Sardinas and Odor from Double-A Frisco.
The past two days, the two youngsters have had big plate appearances to win the final two games of a four-game set in Minneapolis.

On Wednesday, it was Sardinas' RBI single in the seventh inning that gave the Rangers a 1-0 win, and on Thursday, it was Rougned Odor's sac fly that scored Leonys Martin in the eighth to give them a 5-4 win over the Twins.
In 17 games, Odor is hitting .275 -- a remarkable clip for a guy who was 19 when Kinsler was shipped away in November -- and has driven in nine runs. In nine games, Sardinas is hitting .259.
It'll be interesting to see if and when both of them begin to hit a wall, but right now, they're making the Rangers and their fans forget some about the Profar buzz.
