Jurickson Profar has been giving the Rangers a lot to be pleased about during his stint in the Arizona Fall League, reserved for some of the game's best young prospects.
Profar is different than most of the other players in the league as he was the consensus top prospect in all of baseball in 2013 but has missed the 2014 and 2015 seasons due to a nagging shoulder injury that he finally had repaired.
Profar earned a spot in the Arizona "Fall Stars Game" on Saturday night, and once again, he was pretty great.
The 22-year-old was a designated hitter, as he still isn't throwing in game action, but he singled once from each side of the plate, walked twice and stole two bases in the game.
In 2013 when he was serving as the Rangers' super utility man, a role that might've set him back when he could've been playing every day in the minors, he played in just 85 games and hit .234 with six homers and 26 RBIs. He did walk 26 times, which wasn't bad for a player of his young age (20). It's going to be interesting to see what role, if any, he plays for the 2016 Rangers or if that role might be bringing some needed pieces to town via trade.
