In a weekly post, we'll talk about where teams in the NFC East sit after each weekend of play.
1. Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) — The Eagles lost Nick Foles for an extended period of time, but judging by the word out of Philly, and by backup Mark Sanchez's performance in relief on Sunday, there might not be a lot of drop-off for the Eagles and Chip Kelly's offense. Oh, and remember all those offensive line injuries the Eagles had all season? Well, they're all getting healthy now. Look out.
2. Dallas Cowboys (6-3) — Just two weeks ago, the Cowboys were widely regarded as the best team in the NFL. As we've seen since, that was a bit premature. Tony Romo's injury, coupled with teams figuring out how to flip the time of possession on the Cowboys, has landed them with two straight losses. Now, Sunday's game in London against the 1-8 Jaguars is a bit concerning. A loss would be catastrophic heading into the bye week.
3. Washington Redskins (3-6) — Robert Griffin III is back, although head coach Jay Gruden says he's not entrenched as the starter, which is just insane. The Redskins' offense looked better on Sunday, largely due to the fact Alfred Morris was once again effective at running back with RG3 back in the picture.
4. New York Giants (3-5) — The Giants have dropped three straight, and were embarrassed at home on Monday night by the Colts. The one bright spot for the Giants has been the play of rookie wideout Odell Beckham Jr., who appears to be a big-time up-and-comer at the position. Other than that, not much is going right for the G-Men.
