Potential Target: Lamar Miller

In an ongoing thread of posts, we'll discuss potential free agent targets for the Dallas Cowboys coming off a 4-12 season, thanks in large part to several key injuries.

Target: Lamar Miller, RB

2015 stats: 194 carries, 872 yards, 4.49 yard per carry, 8 TDs; 47 catches, 397 yards, 2 TDs

Miller is a free agent out of Miami this offseason and he's probably itching to get out of town considering how he's been used so far in his career. The Dolphins seem to move the ball best when Miller is getting touches, yet they refuse to give him consistent ones.

He's young (24), and he could easily come in and split work with an aging and injury-prone, yet effective, Darren McFadden before taking over as a featured back once McFadden's days here are finished (or if he's injured).

Miller is versatile and can carry the load of a full-time back while also being a better-than-average receiver out of the backfield. Put him in Dallas behind the Cowboys' offensive line, and look out. The biggest question with Miller, who made just more than $1.6 million in 2015, will be how much money he's looking for and if the Cowboys are willing to meet his ask.
