Potential Target: Jonathan Lucroy

In an ongoing series, we'll take a look at possible free-agent and trade targets for the Texas Rangers this winter.

2015 stats: .264 batting average, .326 on-base percentage, .717 OPS, 20 doubles, 7 home runs, 43 RBIs, .988 fielding percentage in 103 games

Lucroy is the alpha dog of the catchers seemingly on the market. He was an all-star in 2014 with a huge year, he's young, he's cheap and he's controlled for a few more seasons. For those reasons, it's going to be hard to pry him loose of the Brewers, but it's not impossibly as they've been reported to be actively shopping him.

The Rangers are one of the teams most are mentioning in talking about potential suitors, in which case it'd be Lucroy and likely Chris Giminez due to his personal catcher status with Yu Darvish.

The good thing going for the Rangers is that the Brewers could use help pretty much all over the roster, and from the farm system up to the bigs. And the Rangers have plenty to offer in way of prospects, along with first base and bullpen help at the big-league level.
