In an ongoing thread of posts, we'll discuss potential free agent targets for the Dallas Cowboys coming off a 4-12 season, thanks in large part to several key injuries.

Morris is a power back who runs north-south kind of in the fashion of an inferior DeMarco Murray. But with that said, he's been solid throughout his career with the Redskins even though he's coming off his worst pro season in 2015.
The Redskins are likely to move on from Morris with a couple of younger, capable backs in the fold there, and Morris could be had for a pretty cheap price because of his lack of big-play ability, but behind that Cowboys line he could do some pretty serious damage.
Morris had three 1,000-yard seasons before 2015 and had a yards per carry of over 4 yards per carry until his 3.7 in 2015. However, his numbers have declined every season after his 1,600-yard campaign as a rookie in 2012.
Guys like Lamar Miller, Matt Forte and Chris Ivory are more appealing if you're the Cowboys, but they could also do much worse than Morris.
