On Deck: NFC Championship

On Deck will be here all season to provide you with everything you need to know (and a few things you don't) about every postseason game during the 2014 season.

The Teams: The Seahawks had a bit of a rough stretch earlier in the year but have since turned things around and resembled the team that won the Super Bowl last year. Now, they're looking to be the first repeat champs since the early 2000s Patriots. Russell Wilson is playing at a high level, Marshawn Lynch is a beast and the defense is really good. Oh, and they're playing at home, where they're nearly unbeatable. The Packers are coming off a come-from-behind win over Dallas but now head out on the road, where they aren't nearly as good as they are in Lambeau Field.

Past Meetings: The Packers hold a 10-7 series lead all-time over the Seahawks, including two postseason games. The Seahawks have won the last two meetings, including a 36-16 thrashing in the season opener this year.

Who's Hot: Playing with a torn calf muscle, Aaron Rodgers struggled early in Sunday's game against the Cowboys. After he settled in, he showed why he is arguably the best player in football. Rodgers went 24-for-35 with 316 yards and three touchdowns. Davante Adams and Randall Cobb each eclipsed 100 yards receiving, and Eddie Lacy rushed for 101 yards.

Russell Wilson is playing at an unbelievable level right now, and it continued on Saturday night against the Panthers. Wilson threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions against a pretty good Panthers defense. His biggest target was Jermaine Kearse, who caught three balls for 129 yards and a score. Luke Willson is quickly becoming a talent at tight end, and he had a big game with 68 yards and a touchdown on four catches.

Who's Not: Jordy Nelson only caught two balls on Sunday, but his presence obviously opened things up for Adams and Cobb. The Packers' secondary got picked apart by Tony Romo. Russell Wilson isn't the passer that Romo is, but he could be in line for a big day through the air. If not, Marshawn Lynch should have a big day on the ground against a Packers defense that allowed DeMarco Murray to run wild.

Lynch rushed for just 59 yards on 14 carries, but the Panthers' defense is better than the Packers, so he could be in line for a big day.
