On Deck: Kansas City at Houston

On Deck will be here all season to provide you with everything you need to know (and a few things you don't) about every postseason game during the 2015 season.

The Teams: The Chiefs are the hottest team in the NFL, having won 10 straight games after starting 1-5 and despite losing the face of their franchise, Jamaal Charles, to a torn ACL. The Texans have gone through as many quarterback as the Cowboys, but have managed to win enough games to win the worst division in football, the AFC South, behind a standout defense led by J.J. Watt.

Past Meetings: The Chiefs lead the all-time series 4-3, including a 27-20 win in Houston earlier this year before Charles' injury.

Who's Hot: The revolving door of Chiefs running backs continued in Sunday's win over Oakland as Spencer Ware rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown after Charcandrick West had spent much of the year as the No. 1 back in Charles' absence. Jeremy Maclin also continued his solid run with another touchdown catch from Alex Smith.

Houston quarterback Brian Hoyer returned from a concussion to clinch the division with a rout of Jacksonville by passing for 249 yards and a touchdown with an interception. He got a big day from his running back, Alfred Blue, who had 21 carries for 102 yards. Star wideout Deandre Hopkins had seven grabs for 89 yards. J.J. Watt led a dominant defensive effort with five tackles and three sacks and a fumble recovery.

Who's Not: There's really not much to speak of for Houston or Kansas City, as both teams are coming in hot after a big win and an insane win streak, respectively.
