Odor Starting to Assert Himself in Leadoff Role

All throughout Rougned Odor's two previous years in the big leagues, it seemed the young spark plug of a player was tailor-made to be a leadoff hitter.

He has speed, power and aggressiveness to be a catalyst at the top of the lineup, and now he's starting to show all of that.

With Delino DeShields' regression this year, Rangers skipper Jeff Banister made the switch to put DeShields in the No. 9 spot and move Odor from his usual No. 6 or No. 7 spot to leadoff, and so far, so good.

Odor led the game off with a homer on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, he smoked a double in his first at-bat.

Now, Odor is 9-for-19 in his career leading off a game, and he's swinging a hot bat right now.
