NYG Safety: Players Not the Problem In Dallas

Antrel Rolle believes Dallas is missing some pieces as an organization

The Dallas Cowboys kind of embarrassed themselves on Tuesday when, after months of secretiveness surrounding the identity of the team’s playcaller, Jerry Jones went out and told the media that, hint hint, it’s Bill Callahan, the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.

This wouldn’t have been so bad if not for what happened afterward. Callahan confirmed his new role and, then, Garrett made clear that he had no interest in discussing the matter--remarks that lead us to believe there’s a bit of a disconnect between the owner and his head coach.

The story went national (of course), and at least one member of the rival New York Giants--safety Antrel Rolle--took notice, accurately concluding that there might be some trouble afoot in Dallas. It just doesn’t have to do with the men who actually play the game.

"The Dallas Cowboys are a good team," Rolle said told the NFL Network this week, per ESPN Dallas. "Maybe they're missing a couple pieces of the puzzle, but I don't think the pieces they're missing are actually the players."
