NFL History on the Line for Cowboys Offense on Thursday

The Cowboys offense is among the best in the league in every statistical category.

It doesn't take a football genius to recognize that the Dallas Cowboys' offense is really good. But, just how good are they?

The Dallas offense has produced more than 400 total yards in eight straight games. That ties a NFL record. Two other teams have accomplished that: Tom Brady's 2007 New England Patriots and Peyton Manning's 2013 Denver Broncos.

Neither of those two quarterbacks led their offenses to nine straight games with 400 total yards. The Cowboys can be the first to do that on Thursday against Washington.

This potential record is obviously not something the Cowboys care about. However, it does speak to the high standards they have and the level of consistency they've played with.

"I think it starts from the top down. We're always focused on what's coming next. What we're doing right now and what's coming next, and continue to improve to put ourselves in that situation. And then as a group, we hold ourselves to that," said center Travis Frederick.

"I think the standards are so high that we can't reach. We're just going out there practicing, you know, hard and trying to be the best that we can be," said wide receiver Dez Bryant.

"We expect to be the No. 1 offense in the league, that's how high we expect it to be," said running back Ezekiel Elliott.

In Week 2, Washington held the Cowboys under 400 total yards. The Cowboys have gone over that mark in every game since. In their last time out, Washington allowed 424 yards to Green Bay.
