Justin Tuck is still getting used to not being a New York Giant.
Tuck joined the Oakland Raiders on a two-year, $11 million deal this offseason after nine seasons with the Giants and, to be sure, the Cowboys were glad to see him leave the NFC East. With 7.5 career sacks against Dallas, Tuck liked to pick on the Cowboys more than any other team except for the Eagles (who have also allowed Tuck 7.5 sacks) and the Redskins (who have afforded him 15).
"The only thing weird is when you see Giants fans who have a tendency to tell you how stupid (the team) is," Tuck told the Newark Star-Ledger. "Those are their words, not mine. But yeah, it was weird. You spend nine years in one place. You have a lot of success there and a lot of great friends. So yeah, it's going to be weird but I understand the business side of things and you need to move forward."
Tuck is happy to be a Raider, but it’s clear that wearing a different jersey color for the first time in his NFL career remains a strange feeling for the veteran.
"To answer your question, I am still surprised I'm not a New York Giant," Tuck said. "I'm excited about what the Oakland Raiders are doing. I still keep up with guys like Zak (DeOssie), and Antrel Rolle and Eli Manning, they're friends for life."
