NFC East Watch: OBJ Says He Has No Problem with Teammates

Odell Beckham Jr. expressed some frustration over his teammates teasing him last week

Last week, New York Giants receiver and Madden coverboy Odell Beckham, Jr. expressed some frustration over his teammates’ jokes regarding his inability to get on the practice field. Beckham missed training camp and the first four games of his rookie season last year with a hamstring issue, and this year, yet another hamstring issue kept him limited throughout offseason workouts.

Apparently, Beckham’s teammates have teased him about his absence and apparently, Beckham took exception to that line of jokes at some point.

But Beckham wants to make clear that he has no problem with anyone in the Giants‘ locker room.

I have no problem with anybody on the team or inside or anything,” Beckham told the New York Post.

Beckham also doesn’t want to get a reputation as being thin-skinned because, he says, that’s just not true.

“It was more of, you know, I feel like you can’t take someone’s words and you can’t really tell the tone they’re saying,” Beckham said. “I’m like, ‘Yeah, it gets a bit frustrating when teammates joke with you,’ and it gets written that he’s frustrated with teammates and it’s like it’s not how it sounds. It’s weird sometimes.”
