NFC East Watch: Josh Norman Visiting Redskins

Norman's tender offer was pulled by the Panthers on Wednesday, making him an unrestricted free agent

Former Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman spent much of Thanksgiving Day last year in heated battle with Dez Bryant and now, it looks like he could become a full-time rival of the Dallas Cowboys.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Norman will visit the Washington Redskins on Friday, just two days after his franchise offer was pulled by the Panthers. It was previously reported that the Redskins made a “legit offer” to the defensive breakout star of the 2015 NFL season.

Norman finished the 2015 season with 56 tackles, three forced fumbles and four interceptions—two of which he took back for pick sixes.

The San Francisco 49ers are also reportedly interested in Norman, but it’s fairly common for big name free agents to sign with the first team they visit. When his new deal is done, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it’s expected to be between $14-15 million a year.
