NFC East Watch: Eli Wants to “Reinvent” Himself

Eli Manning tossed 27 interceptions in 2013

Eli Manning isn’t working out with his New York Giants at the moment, as he is recovering from arthroscopic ankle surgery to correct an injury suffered in Week 17 of last year.

When he does finally get on the field, he’ll be looking to bounce back from a miserable 2013 campaign, in which he threw 27 interceptions--or, to put it another way, more interceptions than any quarterback in any season in eight years.

“This is an opportunity to reinvent yourself and to come back and change what occurred last year, some of the difficulties, and bounce back and have a clean slate, prove yourself again and play at a high level,” Manning said, per ProFootballTalk.com.

In case you were wondering, the Giants went 7-9 last year, missed the playoffs and were swept by your Dallas Cowboys.
