NFC East Watch: Eagles Expect Bradford to be Ready for Camp

Sam Bradford is coming off his second ACL tear in as many years

It’s looking like the Philadelphia Eagles will have their new starting quarterback on the field when they open training camp on August 2.

According to Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com, Sam Bradford is expected to be ready to go in camp after being held out of all 11-on-11 drills in OTAs this summer as he recovered from his second ACL tear in as many years. Shorr-Parks cites a source close to the situation as saying, as of now, Bradford “feels great.”

This isn’t particularly surprising, as Bradford said at the end of minicamp over a month ago that, barring something unforeseen and terrible, he’d be a full go when they reconvened for camp.

"If I'm not ready for 11 on 11 by training camp, then something has gone horribly wrong," Bradford said. "That's the plan right now. We're going to keep plugging away and be ready when camp starts."
