NFC East Watch: Eagles Dead Set on QB Carson Wentz?
According to at least one NFL media member, the Eagles will look to pull some strings to land Wentz in the first round
The Philadelphia Eagles went into the offseason looking for a quarterback in the draft and, according to one NFL Media member, they’ve found the one they want already.
The problem is, according to NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein, it’s North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz that has become the object of their desire, and he will likely be off the board before Philly picks with the No. 8 overall pick.
"Make no mistake about it, I still think the Eagles first and foremost are trying to find a way to get Carson Wentz," Zierlein told 97.5-FM The Fanatic, via NJ.com. "I know Doug Pederson loves him. I know that from people behind the scenes, in the know. That's who he wants and that's who he likes. It's just going to be tough."

Granted, it’s not like there’s no chance Wentz could fall to 8th, but many experts have wondered if the Cowboys—who have QB issues of their own they’re looking to address this offseason—will get a shot at Wentz, and they pick at No. 4.
This leaves the Eagles to look to trade up, which they’ve already done once this offseason, going from No. 13 overall to No. 8 via a trade with the Dolphins.
