Murray Thanks Cowboys Fans

DeMarco Murray is jumping ship, and he's not just leaving for any NFL team, he's going to the hated Philadelphia Eagles, who gave him a huge deal to be their next running back after he set the Cowboys' single-season rushing record and was the NFL rushing champ in 2014.

Over the past few days, the former OU standout and Cowboys' record holder has been publicly thanking the Cowboys fans for their support before he heads off in the sunset to the dark side.

Murray took to Twitter last week, on the night he made his deal with Philly official, and expressed his gratitude to Cowboys fans for their years of support.

Then, he really got serious.

Murray paid for a billboard in downtown Dallas with a picture of him in his Cowboys uniform that simply read "Thank You Dallas."

That couldn't have been a cheap billboard, but then again, Murray has a ton of money at his disposal now.

Many Cowboys fans were angry with Murray for bolting, but he said all the right things at the introductory press conference in Philly and is now spending thousands upon thousands of dollars to thank the Cowboys fanbase.

He's going to be booed when he returns to Dallas, and that's fine. But he's doing all he can to save some face.
