Murray Feeling Fine After Busy Night

DeMarco Murray had 41 touches in Thursday's win over the Bears

Thursday night certainly won’t assuage the nervousness of those Dallas Cowboys fans who openly wring their hands over DeMarco Murray’s workload.

In the 41-28 victory over the Bears in Chicago, Murray touched the ball 41 times and became the first player in the last five years to get 40-plus touches in a single game. He finished with 179 yards rushing, a season high, and 49 yards receiving on nine catches.

But Murray says he feels fine after a busy night at Soldier Field.

I feel great,” Murray said, per ESPN Dallas. “I don’t take a lot of hard hits. I protect myself out there. The carries might be up, but I don’t get a lot of damage, so that’s good.”

The good news for Murray is that he’ll have an extra few days to rest up before next Sunday’s matchup with the Eagles in Philadelphia, and we can’t help but guess that the Cowboys will continue to feed him early and often in that game and down the stretch.
