Moreland Spurs Big Offensive Night

The Texas Rangers' offense had been sputtering through much of June, but in their second-to-last game of the month, the Rangers exploded for eight runs in Monday's win over first-place Baltimore to match their run total from their weekend series in Toronto.

The big night at the plate was spearheaded by Mitch Moreland, who continued his hot June. The Rangers first baseman clubbed his 11th and 12th homers of the season, putting him in a tie for the club lead with Prince Fielder. The two home runs give Moreland seven in the month of June.

The Rangers also got long balls from catcher Carlos Corporan and Shin-Soo Choo, who was robbed of his second homer of the night late in the game. The four Rangers homers tied their season-high for home runs in a game.

With Josh Hamilton set to return to the lineup on Tuesday night, the Rangers will be getting another power bat back in the lineup after he hit two homers in one of his seven games back with Texas before hitting the DL at the beginning of the month.
