Before we rip into the performance of Kellen Moore in his first career NFL start(I mean, just the idea of ripping into anything Kellen Moore does seems a bit unfair), it should first be noted that he was without star wide receiver Dez Bryant, who was ruled inactive before the game.
That's a big blow for any quarterback, especially one making his first career NFL start on the road.
But with all that said, Moore was pretty awful and quickly ended the backup quarterback love affair many people had fallen deep into after his "electrifying" performance against the Jets that featured three interceptions after he replaced the benched Matt Cassel.
Just to put it into perspective from a numbers standpoint, Moore completed just 13 of his 31 pass attempts (an unsightly 41.9 percent completion percentage) for 186 yards, no touchdowns and a pick.
To make it clear, that's just awful, first start or not.
Moore will start the season finale at home against the NFC East champion Redskins on Sunday, as he should, and he's likely playing for his spot on the roster in 2016 as a No. 3 quarterback because I think he's made it pretty clear he's not the guy you want in the "next-man-up" scenario.
