Mo Claiborne Still Dealing With Sore Knee

Claiborne missed practice on Monday with a minor knee injury, suffered last week

Second-year cornerback Morris Claiborne missed practice on Monday with a sore left knee, and according to Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas, his status for Saturday’s preseason matchup with the Arizona Cardinals is now up in the air.

Claiborne, who has also dealt with a bout of recurring migraines in camp, expressed some understandable frustration when speaking to reporters following the session.

“I believe anything is a setback,” Claiborne said. “This is a big setback. It might not be to somebody else, but it is to me. I have big goals for myself.”

According to Claiborne, there’s nothing structurally wrong with the knee, so as of now, the LSU product is left to play the waiting game.

"At this point, I'm just following directions, just going through the treatments," Claiborne said. "I thought I would be ready the next day, and, obviously, I wasn't."
